Meet the Founder Behind REAL Personal Training
Tyler Prieur grew up playing many sports with a particular focus on lacrosse and hockey, where he achieved great results. Fitness was always something he loved, but that healthy challenge ran alongside his struggles with anxiety and depression.
Tyler knew he could do more to achieve holistic wellbeing beyond the help he’d received through psychiatric advice and medication, so he continued to work on his personal fitness while aiming to expand his mind.
This led to his becoming an Honour Graduate of the University of Ottawa with a specialization in Human Kinetics in 2015, after which he spent time as a personal trainer and strength coach.
Using his motivation, scientific knowledge, and hard-earned personal victories as fuel, training Ottawa became Tyler’s driving goal, and in 2016, he founded REAL Personal Training.
Today, REAL personal training continues to share his vision of helping people move, feel, and perform better in all areas of their unique lives, not just the gym.
